PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde finally breaks his silence on the viral “Momo Challenger” that encourages self-harm to children.
Momo Challenge has been one of the most discussed topics on the social media over the past few days due to increasing numbers of suicide.
The mobile application was allegedly encouraging young users to harm their self and eventually took their own life at the end of the 50 tasks.
Recently, Philippine National Police chief Director General Oscar Albayalde finally released a statement regarding the issue.
The PNP chief warned the parents about the disturbing Momo Challenge played by young users online.
Albayalde urged the parents to closely monitor the online activities of their children to avoid self-harm.
The police head also explained those mobile games or any applications encouraging self-harm is considered as crime.
