Will Tropang LOL find a new home?
The noontime show Tropang LOL reportedly will still continue even though its timeslot on TV5 was already taken for a new show.
It was previously reported that the management of the Kapatid network is taking back the 11 AM timeslot being occupied by the noontime show that is produced by Brightlight Productions, owned by Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez.
Based on PEP’s report, this will be replaced by the Face To Face program which will be hosted by Queen Mother Karla Estrada and comedian Alex Calleja.
Despite the issue about the time slot, it was said that the producer of the show decided to continue it, especially since advertisers are now getting interested in the show. Reportedly Brightlight Productions tried to preserve the 11 AM timeslot for Tropang LOL but the management of TV5 decided to allot this for Karla and Alex’s show.
On the other hand, Benitez’s production company still wants to continue the show. However, it has to be aired on a different channel. With this, the question now is will it transfer to Net25?
As of this writing, Brightlight Productions has no answer yet when it comes to this matter but the company said that people can expect a lot of possibilities that will happen.
Aside from Tropang LOL, the Kapuso noontime show Eat Bulaga, which is considered the longest-running noontime show, is also under some issues now because of the rumored rebranding because its management changed. It was rumored that pioneer hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon will be taken out of the show.
