Bayani Agbayani was asked to react to the confirmed reports that their noontime show will bid goodbye
Comedian-host Bayani Agbayani has this comment about the impending end of their noontime show Tropang LOL on TV5.
From being a rumor, it was recently confirmed that the Kapatid noontime show will end. The show is being produced by Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez’s production company Brightlight Production. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Bayani has finally spoken about this matter.
He apologized for the late reaction and it is because it was just recently that they were allowed to speak about this since it is all over the news already. Bayani Agbayani admitted that there is somehow “panghihinayang” because he knows that their show is doing well when it comes to ratings.
However, he said that this decision is not for them to make. “Para sa akin, nakakahinayang dahil sa maiksing panahon ng Tropang LOL, maayos naman ang rating namin. Pero siyempre, dapat din nating igalang ang desisyon ng network, dahil bilang employee, ang employer talaga ang may say sa desisyon ng kanyang negosyo,” he said.
On the other hand, the comedian-host expressed gratitude to the management of TV5 for the opportunity it gave him to be a host of the noontime show.
It was said that even before the news surfaced about Tropang LOL’s end, Bayani already received an offer from his former home network ABS-CBN. Last month, he was on the Kapamilya show I Can See Your Voice.
Reportedly, he was also offered to be part of the Kapamilya series featuring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, also known as the DonBelle love team. However, this project will not start yet.
Based on the report, Bayani Agbayani also had an offer from Pie Channel to do a show. However, it was said that he already turned this down because of the conflict of schedule since he was still doing Tropang LOL.
Following the news about the TV5 noontime show’s end, Bayani Agbayani said that he wants to take a vacation first with his family.
