Bianca Umali On Why She Put Her College Education On Hold

Bianca Umali showed generosity to her cousin

Kapuso actress Bianca Umali revealed the reason why she chose put her colleged education on hold.

Bianca guested on veteran journalist Kara David’s iListen and she asked Bianca why she did not pursue a college education.

It was then that the Kapuso actress shared the story of her younger female cousin, whom she prioritized helping to finish college.

“It was a choice not to send myself to school first, because yung isa po sa mga apo inside the house of my Lola [Vicky Umali], is pinsan ko po, one of the youngest cousins,” the Kapuso actress said.

The actress also shared that when she was able to become stable independently, she chose to take her cousin in. She adopted her cousin and helped raise her and I sent her to school.

Inuna ko po siyang pag-aralin. It was a choice of mine because… her name is Sam,” Bianca shared.

Sam graduated with a degree in Multimedia Arts from the College of Saint Benilde. Bianca was reportedly eighteen years old when she started putting her cousin through school.

The actress shared that her cousin has two other younger sisters. Sending Sam to school, Bianca hopes that her cousin would also help her younger sisters with their education.

“For me, it was really to pay it forward also. And it was my way of giving back to my lola kasi naniniwala naman din po ako na yung pag-aaral naman po, it will never get too late for anyone to study,” Bianca Umali shared, adding that at that time, she was busy with her work.

The actress also shared that she could have sent herself and Sam to college, but since it college education is expensive, she decided to prioritize her cousin. Sam graduated already and she is now helping Bianca with her work.
