PAGASA Says Fair Weather Condition to Prevail Nationwide w/ Chances of Rains
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the country will have a generally fair weather condition with chances of rains due to the northeast monsoon.
On Monday (February 27, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that amihan will bring cloudy weather condition with rain over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Ilocos Norte, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro and Marinduque.

“Malaking bahagi ng silangang Luzon, ay makararanas po ng posibilidad ng mahihinang pag-ulan at maulap na panahon ngayong araw dulot ng hanging amihan,” weather specialist Obet Badrina said.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the eastern portion of Visayas and Mindanao.
The northeast monsoon will bring similar weather condition over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the seaboards of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The weather bureau also advised small sea craft to refrain from sea ventures due to big waves.
“Fishing boats and other small sea craft are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” Pagasa said.
The weather agency warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
