PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (December 17)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Saturday (December 17, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon, ITCZ, and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will be affecting Mindanao while the Northeast Monsoon will affect Northern Luzon.
Amihan will bring cloudy weather condition with rains Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Ilocos Region and the northern portion of Quezon.
The ITCZ will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Mindanao.
The ITCZ / localized Thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over the entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has also warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon and Visayas will be moderate to rough. Mindanao will have a slight to moderate surrounding sea condition, according to the weather bureau.
