Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo talked about being parents now
Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban and actor Zanjoe Marudo worked again in the new series The Silent Noise, after their Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 movie UnMarry.
In their latest film, Angelica and Zanjoe played a married couple, and in their new series, their portrayal of parents was highlighted. In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the actress and the actor talked about how becoming parents in real life helped their portrayal.
Becoming a parent herself has changed Angelica’s perspective; since welcoming her daughter, Amila Sabine, in 2022, she no longer has to rely on imagination to portray maternal love.

Before motherhood, she had to mentally construct those deep emotions for the camera, but she now draws from authentic experience rather than just waiting for the director’s cue.
“This time minsan nagkakaroon pa kami ng debate, yung ‘Ay sandali lang Direk, pag ganyan yung anak ko, ‘eto ang mangyayari!'” the Kapamilya actress said. She also said that she now knows the feeling of how to fight back when your child is wronged or put in a harmful situation.
The same applies to portraying married characters, as she and Zanjoe did in The Unmarried Wife. In the film, they played individuals undergoing an annulment while still clinging to the hope of saving their unions.

Zanjoe agreed with Angelica’s perspective, noting that having experienced such roles, they truly understand the gravity of nearly losing a spouse.
The actor noted that for The Silent Noise, he no longer needs to guess the right emotions; his real-life experience as a parent provides a much clearer guide than any research or childhood memories ever could.
“Mas nararamdaman ko na. Iba rin pag na-experience mo yung puyat at pagod na hindi ko naman [alam] nung gumanap ako ng tatay dati,” Zanjoe shared.
