Vice Pres. Leni Robredo Issues Statement
LENI ROBREDO – The Vice President released a statement addressing her supporters amid the posting of partial and unofficial results.
The voting for the local and national Elections 2022 is over. Currently, partial and unofficial results of the national poll are already available online and broadcasted by different media networks. Ten candidates vid for the presidency.
In the partial and unofficial results, independent candidate and incumbent Vice Pres. Leni Robredo is in the 2nd spot in the results with the frontrunner, former Senator Bongbong Marcos, taking a huge lead. At the wee hours of the day, the Vice President gave a statement addressing her supporters.
Vice Pres. Leni Robredo started her statement by thanking everyone who voted for her and supported her campaign for the presidency. She expressed her gratitude to the volunteers, the attendees of the rally, those who did a house-to-house campaign, those who risked their careers to campaign for her, the medic, and those who convinced other people to join the cause. She stressed that their love can never be counted by the numbers.
The Vice President recognized the feeling of dismay felt by her supporters over the results and their love for the country. However, she is asking her supporters not to allow their love for the country to cause division. She stressed that no effort was wasted as she did her best and her supporters even outweighed it. According to her, there is nothing greater than the said fact.
Vice Pres. Leni Robredo is asking her supporters to be satisfied for their contribution. She stressed that the movement is not yet over and she is encouraging everyone to help uplift each other and be active in the community. Here’s her full speech posted on Facebook:
