DOC WILLIE ONG – The cardiologist and online health educator has shared a new update on his battle with stage 4 sarcoma, revealing that his condition remains stable as he continues to undergo treatment. He said he is following the treatment plan prepared by his medical team, which includes immunotherapy and targeted therapy.
While he did not provide further details about his health, he admitted that his journey has brought both positive and difficult moments. Despite the challenges, he remains grateful for the continued prayers and support from his family, friends, and followers and continues to place his trust in God.
Sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that develops in the bones or connective tissues, including muscles, fat, and blood vessels. Treatment depends on the patient’s condition and may include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy.
Doc Willie’s latest Instagram post showed him receiving treatment while seated with a medical tube attached to his body. His update quickly drew an outpouring of encouragement from supporters, including celebrities and netizens, who expressed hope for his recovery and wished him strength as he continues his fight against cancer.

The doctor first announced his stage 4 sarcoma diagnosis in 2024. He was expected to run in the 2025 midterm elections but later withdrew from the race to focus on his health and recovery. He had also previously shared that a doctor in Singapore helped manage his condition, which has remained stable.
