PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (March 11)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Visayas and Mindanao will experience warm and humid weather condition today.

On Friday (March 11, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update. The low-pressure area and shear line will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the shear line will be affecting the eastern sections of southern Luzon and the Visayas while the northeast monsoon will affect northern and central Luzon. The easterlies would affect the remaining parts of the country.

The low-pressure area will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, eastern Visayas, and Kalayaan Islands.

The amihan will bring cloudy condition with light rains over Cagayan Valley.

The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon.

The easterlies / localized thunderstorms would also bring similar weather condition over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected area to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The Visayas and Mindanao are expected to experience warm and humid conditions due to the easterlies.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over northern Luzon, eastern sections of central and southern Luzon, the rest of Luzon as well as Visayas will be moderate to rough. Mindanao will have moderate surrounding sea conditions.
