PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (March 7)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area will bring rain showers over some parts of the country.

On Monday (March 7, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area is expected to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area has been last spotted at 135 kilometers east northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. It is expected to bring rains over parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

However, the LPA may remain for a little bit longer inside the country’s vicinity but it is not expected to intensify into tropical cyclone.

“Kasalukuyan, mababa ang tsansa na maging bagyo… Itong low pressure area ay magtatagal maaari pong tatlong araw sa loob ng Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) bago ito lumabas sa ating PAR,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldzcar Aurelio said.

The low-pressure are is expected to bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol region, Marinduque, Romblon, Visayas, Caraga region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Davao region.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Abra and Benguet.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country will experience similar weather condition.

The weather agency warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern and Central Luzon as well as the rest of the country will be sight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
