Lady Customer Shares Photos of Malunggay Leaves Being Sold at an Expensive Price in Canada
A lady customer gets surprised after she discovered the price of malunggay leaves at a Chinese grocery store in Canada.
A Facebook user named Maggie Glas has shared the photos of a 1.08 pound of malunggay leaves being sold at a Chinese grocery store in Canada. The post elicits reactions from the social media users.
In the photos, it can be seen that the pack of malunggay leaves were being sold at USD$ 14.03. The vegetable leaves are for sale in Btrust supermarket in Canada. The price of “moringa oleifera” at Btrust is too expensive compared to its price in the Philippines.
Glas and her daughter went to the grocery store to buy moringa leaves for ‘tinola’. They were shocked after seeing the price of the leaves. However, they bought it just to satisfy their craving from a Filipino cuisine.

“My daughter and I went to a Chinese grocery store today. My daughter asked me if I can cook tinola on Sunday , I said yes. She told me she wants malunggay in it so I told her to go and grabbed malunggay.
I mean for us leaving abroad who is craving for something we want to eat ( pinoy food) we don’t really care about the price right? But this malunggay, men GINTONG MALUNGGAY
