MY FATHER IS A POLICEMAN Incident – Mother Sonya and her son Frank Antony Gregorio, victims of the shooting incident in Paniqui, Tarlac, were finally laid to rest.
The said incident that went viral on social media shocked the public. Police Senior Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca was seen shooting the mother and son during a heated argument.
What he did during that time garnered various reactions from netizens, celebrities, and prominent personalities in politics and showbiz.
He already surrendered to the authorities and is facing two counts of murder. However, based on a previous report, witnesses were still hesitant to testify against him in court, as well as the person who took the video.
Nuezca’s daughter was also present during the incident who was heard saying to Sonya, “my father is a policeman”. The mother answered this by singing the line of 2NE1’s song ‘I Don’t Care’.
On Sunday, December 27, Sonya, 55 years old, and her son, Frank Anthony, 25 years old, were finally laid to rest at Paniqui Garden of Angels Memorial Park, based on the report from ABS-CBN.

This happened a week after the devastating incident. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, hundreds of people joined Gregorio’s funeral procession. Family and friends of Sonya and Frank Anthony mourned before their coffins were brought down to their graves.
Several netizens also expressed grief and sympathy to the family of Sonya and Frank Anthony Gregorio.
