PNP Plans to Resolve Cop Jonel Nuezca Case Within 1 Month
The Philippine National Police (PNP) is planning to resolve the case Police Senior Master Sgt. Jonel Nuezca within a month.
On Tuesday (December 22, 2020), the Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service said that the agency is planning to resolve the Tarlac cop case within 30 days. The agency said that Nuezca could be found guilty.
PNP-IAS Inspector Gen. Atty. Alfegar Triambulo said that the viral policeman will be dismissed from his position and will lose all his benefits except from the monetary conversion of his accumulated leaves.
“Mamadaliin natin ang kaso kasi pag tumagal, lugi po, aggrieved na po ang biktima kasi justice delayed, justice denied, lugi din ang gobyerno kasi siya ay sumasahod kasi meron tayo sa batas ng presumption of innocence until proven guilty, Ngayon susubukan naming tapusin ng 30 days ‘yan. Nandito ako papunta ng Tarlac para personal na i-monitor ang takbo ng kaso.” Triambulo said.
Triambuylo said that the video footage of the incident is a big deal because it does not lie and it is a strong evidence against the suspect. He also explained that a picture or video along could already explain the entire incident.

The suspect is now facing administrative cases; 2 counts of murder as President Duterte ordered the PNP to punish Nuezca for his action.
