Malacañang Names Facilities Where Public Can Acquire Cheaper COVID-19 Testing
MALACAÑANG – Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque revealed the facilities with cheaper cost of COVID-19 testing.
The biggest global challenge in 2020 is the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 200 countries and territories including the Philippines have recorded cases of the new coronavirus disease.
In the Philippines, the Department of Health (DOH) has logged a total of 424,297 cases including 8,242 deaths and 387,266 recoveries. Community quarantine measures are still up in the country now.
The entire Metro Manila will remain under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) until December. Several other provinces and cities outside the Metro are also under GCQ now.

Also, it is already a protocol to wear a face mask when going outdoors and to practice social distancing. Many cities and provinces are also implementing curfews.
The threats of COVID-19 is still present. Every day, there are still new cases. The World Health Organization (WHO) has previously warned not to let the guards down early.
To determine if a patient is infected with COVID-19, a swab testing is done. Recently, Malacañang revealed the list of facilities that offer cheaper cost of the COVID-19 testing.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Malacañang also reminded the different facilities to abide by the price ceiling set by the government. It must stay between Php 4,500.00 to Php 5,000.00 in private testing centers and Php 3,800 in public facilities.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, here are the lists of the facilities that offer cheaper cost of COVID-19 testing:
Metro Manila
- Philippine Children’s Hospital
- National Kidney and Transplany Institute
- Lung Center
- Perpetual Help Hospital, Las Pinas City
Outside Metro Manila
- Western Visayas Medical Center, Iloilo
- Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Cebu
- University of Cebu Medical Center, Cebu
- Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center, Tacloban
- Baguio General Hospital
- Zamboanga City Medical Center
- St. Paul’s Hospital, Tacloban
- Teresita Jalandoni Provincial General Hospital
- Cebu Molecular Laboratory
