Kanye West Creates College Fund For George Floyd’s Daughter Gianna
KANYE WEST – Rapper Kanye West donated a huge amount to George Floyd causes and will pay for his daughter’s college tuition.
The death of George Floyd triggered a widespread protest in the United States. The 46-year-old African-American man died after a cop named Derek Cauvin knelt on his neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. It can be seen on the viral video that he was complaining that he could not breathe.
The white police officer was arrested and charged with third-degree manslaughter. In a previous article, protesters had a clash with the police at the White House.
Famous celebrities like Ariana Grande, Halsey, and Cole Sprouse joined the protest over the death of George Floyd. In a report, ‘Riverdale’ revealed on his Instagram account that the cops arrested and zip-tied him during a peaceful demonstration in Santa Monica.
Singer Halsey also shared some photos and videos during their protest. Aside from supporting the protest against racism, she also provided medical aid to the injured protesters.
In a previous article, National Basketball Association (NBA) legend Michael Jordan released a statement after the death of George Floyd. He said he was “truly pained and plain angry” over the death of the unarmed black American. He also said they “have had enough.”
Based on a report from Variety, Rapper Kanye West recently launched a college fund for George Floyd’s 6-year-old daughter Gianna. His representative said he donated $2 million to charities associated with Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery.
The 42-year-old celebrity also vowed to cover all the legal costs for the families of Taylor and Arbery.
