Ariana Grande Files Case Versus Forever 21 For $10 Million Campaign Ad

ARIANA GRANDE – The american singer, songwriter, and actress filed a $10 million lawsuit versus the clothing company Forever 21 over an alleged look-alike in their campaign ads.

The pop star claimed that Forever 21 used a model that very closely resembled her. Ariana, who celebrated her 26th birthday last June, added that the fashion retailer allegedly used her likeness to mislead customers into thinking that she endorsed their brand.

The lawsuit was filed on Monday in the Federal District Court in Los Angeles. The suit pertained to posts from Forever 21’s Instagram account.

It included snapshots from Grande’s “7 Rings” music video and advertisements with a model copying the singer’s looks. The images posted on their social media were removed on April 2019.

The lawsuit stated that the resemblance between the model and Grande was strikingly similar. It also said that Forever 21’s intentions were allegedly to suggest to the public that the singer endorsed Forever 21.

Grande claimed the clothing company smooched off of her success to promote and sell products even though she never signed a deal with them. Forever 21 and Grande, along with her team, were in talks last year but the deal was never finalized according to the lawsuit posted on scribd.com.

After the mega-hit song “Thank U. Next” was released last November 2018, Forever 21 already reached out to Grande regarding an endorsement deal focused on social media platforms. Grande’s team contemplated on the deal but declined due to Forever 21 not willing to pay enough.
