Bacolod COVID-19 Patient No.5 Tested Positive Again for Coronavirus
COVID-19 PATIENT – A coronavirus patient in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental who has already recovered from the disease tested positive again.
Bacolod City in Negros Occidental is one of the cities in the Philippines with confirmed cases of coronavirus or COVID-19, a pandemic that has claimed over 500 lives in the country.
According to Department of Health (DOH), there is now a total of 7,777 cases of coronavirus confirmed in the country. Luzon and most parts of Visayas and Mindanao are still under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) until now.
The ECQ limits the movement of the people to curb the spread of the infection. Everyone is advised to stay at home and only one member of the house can go out to buy food.
In Bacolod City, Negros Occident, nine (9) cases of coronavirus were confirmed. Some patients have already recovered including COVID-19 patient number 5. However, based on a report of Bombo Radyo, the man once again tested positive for the disease.
Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran confirmed that the 28-year-old man tested positive for the 2nd swab testing conducted on him. Patients are monitored even after they are discharged.
Based on the report, the said COVID-19 patient was discharged from the hospital and told to undergo a home-quarantine. He has a travel history to the United States and Manila.
Out of the nine (9) confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bacolod City, two (2) died while five (5) have already recovered. The city is set to downgrade to General Community Quarantine as ordered by the national government.
