COVID-19 Survivors Donate Blood Plasma To Help Severely Ill Patients

COVID-19 – Three Pinoy COVID-19 survivors have donated their blood to help infected patients.

On Tuesday, April 7, Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte extended the “enhanced community quarantine” in Luzon following the rising death toll in the country. Provinces and cities also extended their quarantines until April 30, 2020.

Scientists and health experts around the world are doing their best to come up with a vaccine or cure to end the pandemic. In February, the head of the World Health Organization’s health emergency program, Dr. Mike Ryan, said convalescent plasma could save the life of severely ill COVID-19 patients. He said it is “effective and life-saving.”
