GSW Klay Thompson Suffers Torn ACL
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the game of 6 of 2019 NBA Finals.
On Friday (June 14, 2019), GSW said that the 29-year-old player has been severely injured during their game with Toronto Raptors.
Klay Thompson attempted to score a fast-break layup during the third quarter of the game but he was foul from behind.
Unfortunately, Thompson got injured after a bad landing sending him pummeling to the court grabbing his left knee.
The basketball player shoots two free throws although he was hurt before exiting the game for good.
Coach Steve Kerr of Warriors said that Thompson told him he needs two (2) minutes rest before going back to court.
“The next thing I heard was he was done for the night from Drew Yoder, our trainer,” Kerr said.
The Warriors said that a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) confirmed the extent of Thompson’s injury.
The GSW guard is one of the most-hottest players on the court before his injury that came one game after Kevin Durant had his Achilles tear.
