Francine Diaz talked about the bond she has with her mother
Kapamilya actress Francine Diaz revealed the best gift she ever gave to her mother.
Francine is one of the brightest young stars of her generation in the Philippine entertainment industry. She has a successful onscreen partnership with Seth Fedelin.
The FranSeth tandem’s most recent acting project is a romantic comedy movie titled She Who Must Not Be Named. Their fans and families have been very supportive of their showbiz stints.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, Francine Diaz highlighted the closeness she has with her mother.
“Lahat naman kaming magkakapatid, close kay Mama. Pero siyempre nandun pa rin ‘yung boundaries na may takot pa rin kami sa kanya kasi grabe ‘pag pinapalo kami dati, lalo ‘pag makulit. Lahat naman kami close sa nanay namin. And ngayon lang kasi, may pinagkakaabalahan siya sa sarili niya and ngayon na summer kasi, so lahat ng mga kapatid ko nasa bahay lang. So close talaga kami,” Francine Diaz shared.
At 22, Francine noted that her mother remains deeply devoted to her and her siblings, regardless of their independence. When asked about the best gift they’ve ever given her, Francine answered without hesitation.
“Kami!” she said and then laughed. “Mga wish ko for Mama? Naku simple lang, kasi wala naman siya masyadong hinihiling ‘yung nanay namin eh. Kasi lagi namin napaguusapan ng mga kapatid ko, ang tanging prayers namin lagi is lagi siyang safe and healthy, and that she’s always at her happiest,” the actress added.
It is because there are six of them, and their mother took care of them. When they would give their mother material things, the latter would appreciate them, but she would say that the best gift in her life is her children.
That’s why Francine Diaz’s answer was “kami.” The actress also shared that her favorite memory of bonding with her mother was during the pandemic, a time when she was able to stay home more often.
“Kaming magkakapatid with our mom, wala kami masyadong pinakaactivity talaga. Pero kasi, parang two years ago, I learned how to bake. So may time nun na pinagbake namin siya ng cookies tapos nag-bake din kami ng cake for her. Tapos sobrang tuwang-tuwa siya kasi hindi niya akalain na kaya naming magluto ng ganun eh, ng pastries,” the actress enthused.
