Vice Ganda did not mince words as she called out the government.
In her comeback, Vice Ganda stood firm with the jeepney drivers amid their struggles due to expensive fuel costs and called out the government.
On Saturday, ABS-CBN superstar Vice Ganda officially returns to It’s Showtime after a month of being absent. She is well and looks healthy, which eased the worries of her supporters and, at the same time, made them happy because she has finally returned.

As a key personality in the show, her absence was deeply felt and, apart from the curiosity, also made the people speculate. As Vice is officially back on Showtime, she marked her comeback with strong words to the government, standing with our jeepney drivers.
With the high costs of fuel, the ones deeply affected are the jeepney drivers and other people whose livelihoods are dependent on fuel.
Vice, as someone with great influence and a huge platform in the country, called out the government and pleaded for it to provide the appropriate assistance to the jeepney drivers. She was moved after hearing the actual stories of the drivers, especially the contestant named Hapon.
This prompted the comedian superstar to call out the government, saying, “Sana lang nanonood ang pamahalaan. Marami pong Pilipinong ganito ngayon, nawalan ng trabaho dahil sa taas ng presyo ng gasolina, lalong lalo na ang mga drivers, sila ang unang tinamaan ng krisis na ito. Hindi na makapasada.”
“Ang tanong, ano ang plano n’yo sa kanila?” Vice added.
Hapon was once a driver but was forced to give up due to the continued rise of fuel costs in recent months. After losing his livelihood, he was put in a miserable situation, and his story has broken lots of hearts, including Vice’s.
Once a jeepney driver from Bicol, he lost his job due to rising fuel costs, affecting his family and leaving him homeless. Now working as a porter for food, he struggles daily. Touched, Vice promised to fund his trip home, give him a small capital to start over, and support his child’s education.
