Passenger Slams Tricycle Drive forr Blocking Booked Motorcycle RiderĀ
A passenger has raised a complaint against a tricycle driver who allegedly blocked the motorcycle rider she had booked through a ride-hailing app in Pampanga.
Recently, a member of the Facebook group MAXIM Riders Pampanga shared photos of the tricycle driver who reportedly stopped the booked rider from picking up the passenger. The post quickly spread online and drew mixed reactions from netizens.
According to the passenger, her motorcycle rider was already right in front of her when the tricycle driver suddenly stepped in and blocked the way. She expressed frustration over what happened, saying it should be her choice which vehicle to ride.

For her, commuters should not be forced or pressured into taking a specific mode of transportation.
The commuter also pointed out the fare being asked by the tricycle driver. The rate of P200 for a trip from SiƱura to Pampang was, in her view, too expensive. It added to her disappointment, as she felt that passengers deserve fair pricing and proper treatment.
The passenger said she plans to bring the matter to their barangay to formally address the issue. She hopes the concern will be discussed properly so similar incidents can be avoided in the future.

The incident has once again emphasizes the tension between some traditional transport drivers and ride-hailing services. As more commuters turn to app-based rides for convenience and lower fares, conflicts like this sometimes arise.

āPasikatin natin tong trike na nangharang sa nabook kong Maxim. Nasa harap ko na yung rider ko, haharangin mo pa? Choice ko kung saan ako sasakay. Hindi niyo pwedeng diktahan ang commuter. At 200 pesos from SiƱura to Pampang? Overpricing na yan. Respeto naman sa pasahero. Magkikita tayo sa barangay.ā
