Laguna SK Chairman Issues Apology After Touching Food Items From 7-Eleven Store
A Sangguniang Kabataan SK chairman from Sta. Cruz, Laguna is facing heavy criticism after touching food items inside a convenience store.
The official, identified as Mark Adrian Napiza, was seen touching siopao and hotdogs that were for sale inside a 7-Eleven branch. Many netizens reacted negatively, saying that it was not proper to touch food that is meant to be sold to customers.
Several people called out the act unhygienic and disappointing, especially since he is a public servant and youth leader.

The issue quickly reached the attention of Sta. Cruz Mayor Benjo Agarao. The mayor ordered an investigation and directed the Municipal Interior and Local Government office and the SK Federation, led by SK Federation President Mark Anthony Molina, to look into the matter and recommend proper action.
The mayor expressed disappointment, saying that youth leaders are expected to set a good example for the community.
Napiza later released a public apology on social media. He admitted that what he did was wrong and said he takes full responsibility for his actions.

The SK chairman explained that the video was meant as a joke while he was creating content with friends, but he understands that it showed poor behavior. He also clarified that he bought and paid for all the food items he touched that day.
He personally visited the store management to apologize for filming without permission and for any inconvenience caused. He also removed the video after realizing its impact.
As of this writing, the local government of Sta. Cruz has not announced what disciplinary action, if any, will be given to the SK chairman.
