Following Hospitalization, Slimmer Physique of Marcos Jr. Sparks Various Speculations
MARCOS JR. – The President candidly explains his slimmer physique now after he was diagnosed with diverticulitis.
Over a week ago, Pres. Bongbong Marcos spent the night under medical observation as confirmed by Malacañang. The Chief Executive was brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center after he experienced some discomfort.
The doctors of the President advised him to rest and be under medical observation. He skipped several events outside the Palace for a few days but the meetings in Malacañang continued. Executive Secretary Ralph Recto and presidential son and Ilocos Norte Congressman Sandro Marcos stood on his behalf.
Amid the speculations on the physical absence of the President in some events after he was diagnosed with diverticulitis, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro interviewed the President while taking a video to show his condition. He was even petting his dog “Oreo” in the said video and he assured that he has recovered.
Then, Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed that he was given antibiotics by this doctors and he was placed under a soft diet. According to him, his doctors also advised him to rest but he stressed that he could not let a lot of things and work wait for him.
Marcos Jr. stressed that he feels better and he has even started eating solid foods again. However, the slimmer physique of the President after he was diagnosed with diverticulitis, a condition characterized by inflammation in the large intestines, sparked speculations among many people. The President linked his health condition to stress and aging.
Recently, through a video posted on social media, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. candidly explained his slimmer physique now. The Chief Executive started his video message assuring the Filipinos that he is recovering.
“Kamusta po kayo? Sana’y nasa mabuti kayong kalagayan. Ako naman, eto, nagre-recover na rin,” he said.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos further expressed that the assessment of his doctor is good and there is nothing serious about his condition. According to the President, he just needs to recover and he lost weight after he was on a soft diet.
“Pero maganda ang assessment ng mga doktor, nothing serious. Kailangan lang magpalakas ulit. Namayat na nga ako at sabaw lang pinabinibigay sa akin ng ilang araw. Mabuti na ‘yan at para akong nag-diyeta,” the President said based on the post.
Impeachment complaints were previously filed against Pres. Bongbong Marcos before the Office of the Secretary General of the House of Representatives. Presidential son and Ilocos Norte Congressman Sandro Marcos refused to participate in the House process on the impeachment complaint against his father.
According to Marcos Jr., Ilocos Norte Cong. Sandro Marcos did not inform him about his recusal from the impeachment process.
