Vice Ganda mentioned the AlDub tandem
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda said thank you to the AlDub loveteam of Asia’s Multimemedia Star Alden Richards and Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza.
The AlDub tandem was a huge showbiz phenomenon. They were the unexpected tandem that was created by the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga. Through this, Alden and Maine’s careers skyrocketed. However, it was a challenge for Vice’s show, It’s Showtime, as they had to follow the ratings game.
In a recent episode of the Kapamilya noontime show, Vice mentioned that phenomenal tandem, based on the article in Balita.
It was prompted by what the contestant named Nekie during the game segment “Laro Laro Pick”. The contestant talked about the experience of being a fan of It’s Showtime and had arguments with a partner because of AlDub and the Kapamilya show.
Then, Vice thanked the former loveteam partners. “Maraming salamat sa AlDub din. Ibang lakas din ang na-develop sa aming lahat ng dahil sa inyo,” the Unkabogable Star said.
Vice said that it was a death-defying competition and jokingly said, “muntik muntik na ngang mamatay.” The comedienne-host said that it took things like the AlDub to prove how strong they are
“Maraming salamat sa AlDub, at to be fair, ang daming pinasaya rin ng AlDub. ‘Di ba? Ang daming pinasaya, ang daming nabigyan din ng pag-asa—katulad natin ‘di ba, ganoon lang din naman ang intensyon ng AlDub, magpasaya ng maraming tao,” he expressed.
Vice also shared their experiences during the height of AlDub’s success. There were sleepless nights for them. After their show, all of them would go to his house, and then, back to the studio, as they were thinking so hard about the ways they could do for the show in order to keep along with the competition.
Vhong Navarro shared that because of AlDub, their Tawag ng Tanghalan segment was initiated.
Vice Ganda revealed that TNT should have been a separate program, but ABS-CBN management decided to just include it in It’s Showtime.
