Tito Sotto On Claims and Accusations Of Anjo Yllana

Senate President Tito Sotto was accused by Anjo Yllana of many things, and this is the politician’s reaction to it.

During a livestream online, Anjo Yllana called out Senate President Tito Sotto. He challenged the politician to release evidence that he had indeed donated his salary as a senator to the scholars. It was a promise he made during his 2022 Senatorial campaign.

It was a series of livestreams that Yllana shared targeting his former co-hosts in “Eat Bulaga.” On Monday, he targeted Sotto and warned that he would expose his “mistress” and their affair that started in 2013.

“Gusto mo sabihin ko na kung sino ‘yung kabit mo mula 2013 na pinalakad mo sa akin?” he said during his livestream, and added, “Sabihin mo lang, Tito Sen, at iba-box reveal ko na.”

The Senate President reacted to the claims and immediately dismissed them. He also refused to further the discussion, which, for him, is baseless and insignificant. Sotto told the reporters that Yllana just wanted to get attention.

“Hindi ko na papatulan. Huwag niyong pansinin at nagpapapansin ‘yan. Pati ba naman showbiz at paninira papatulan natin? Itaas natin ang level ng Senate press,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sotto is the Senate President again, replacing Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero. Escudero was ousted due to his alleged benefactors in the government’s flood control projects.

That time, Sotto was the only nominee as Escudero’s replacement and had the support of 14 of his 24 colleagues. There were also issues about Escudero stalling the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte and her alleged links to Centerways Construction and Development Inc.—one of the 15 contractors identified by President Bongbong Marcos as having secured the controversial flood control projects—along with other related issues.
