Vilma Santos Admits Being Sad Over Luis Manzano’s Election Loss

This is what Vilma Santos admitted after knowing the midterm election results.

Luis Manzano lost by double digits, and his mother, Vilma Santos, has admitted her pain over her son’s election loss.

In real life, people chase winning, never for losing. However, in real life, it was never a matter of choosing between the two; it has always been about embracing what comes out after doing everything.

“My fellow Batangueños, we may not have won the elections, but I am still a winner because of you. I felt the heart of Batangas in your smiles, stories, and hugs during the campaign,” Luis Manzano said regarding the midterm poll results, where he lost by thousands of votes against a veteran.

Vilma Santos, his mother, and Ryan Recto, his brother, won in the gubernatorial and congressional races, respectively. He failed in the vice gubernatorial race in Batangas, but in the end, the potential is there, and he has proven something to himself and to Batangueño voters.

Recently, in an interview, his mother admitted to feeling down over his loss. The “Star For All Seasons” revealed that they felt bad initially when he lost, but also added that despite the failure, her son remained positive. He’s taken the whole journey as part of his experience and learning, and added that he would still fulfill his promise to the Bataguenos.

“Wala, e, he’s adult enough, he’s intelligent enough to know what he is doing. Those serbisyo, it’s coming from his heart. Hindi nga niya tinanggap yung isang show kasi gusto niyang magsilbi,” she shared.

What she would just always tell her son is that public service should always come from the heart. It will never be easy, but he can never go wrong if he’s sincere about it.
