Dennis Trillo talked about being a father
Kapuso drama king Dennis Trillo shared what it was like having a blended family with his wife Kapuso Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado.
Dennis has a son named Calix with former beauty queen Carlene Aguilar. His wife has a son named Jazz with actor Patrick Garcia.
Together, Dennis and Jennylyn have a daughter named Dylan, who is now three years old. At times, Dennis’s son would spend time with them and this goes also with Jennylyn’s son.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Dennis Trillo talked about their blended family. It was said that Carlene Aguilar expressed that she and Jennylyn Mercado, who also stands as Calix’s mom.
“Kami po kasi, medyo ilang taon na rin kaming magkakasama. Hindi ko naman ikinakaila na sa umpisa siyempre, merong mga challenges,” Dennis said.
The actor added that it is really difficult to blend people without blood relations. However, he stressed that once love reigns, the bond will be there and the relationship will strengthen.
Dennis admitted that at first, it was really hard and effort should be done. “Ngayon naman, nararamdaman namin na mas maganda na yung pagsasamahan,” the actor shared.
For him, this is probably the reason why brands are noticing the bond between them and they are being trusted to be endorsers. Dennis said that this is important, that their connection is not just because of blood relation.
“Sa puso, sa quality nung time na binibigay mo, yun lahat mas nagma-matter,” he added.
Dennis Trillo also shared that he has a good co-parenting relationship with Carlene Aguilar. Calix is currently staying with him and Jennylyn because Carlene attended an event in the US.
The former beauty queen said before that Calix wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps in showbiz. Dennis said that whatever career their children would take, he would always be a supportive father.
