Ping Lacson alleged that Alice Guo did this.
ALICE GUO – Former senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson alleged that Alice Guo offered his Filipino-Chinese trader friend Php 1 billion.
On Monday, September 9, Alice Guo faced the Senate for interrogation after skipping the hearing for months. On the same day, a Senate panel cited in contempt the dismissed mayor for the second time for allegedly lying repeatedly regarding her real identity.
Sen. Risa Hontiveros, chairperson of the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality leading the probe said that she was “testifying falsely and evasively before this committee”.
During the hearing, Alice denied that she was Guo Hua Ping, a Chinese national, despite their matching fingerprints.
Recently, amid the buzz circulating about this matter, former senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson made an allegation about the dismissed mayor. According to Lacson, the Fil-Chi businessman who happens to be a friend of his claimed that he was offered by Guo a huge amount to help her amid the investigation about her real identity and alleged connections to illegal operations of POGO.
This Filipino-Chinese businessman has “connections within the circle of the first family” the reason why Guo asked for his help.
“Si Alice Guo nag-approach sa kaniya noong bago umalis, noong medyo ipit na ipit na at nagtatago na yata. Kumontak sa kaniya through a common friend at sabi sa kaniya kung mailalapit ba niya si Alice Guo doon sa kaniyang contact,” said Lacson during his appearance in TeleRadyo Serbisyo’s Kabayan.
He does not completely believe with this claim from his pal but the amount offered was accordingly Php 1 billion. While he cannot easily believe it, he showed proof that Guo was in contact with them – a photo.
To recall, it was Senator Hontiveros who revealed Guo’s escape. She’s been to Singapore and Malaysia before she got arrested in Indonesia. As for former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Jose Antonio Feliciano, despite endorsing Guo, they are accordingly not that close.
He just endorsed her because of a falling out with the person he was supposed to endorse in the previous election. What they have is just a civil and casual relationship.
