The film ‘Un/Happy For You’ of Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia was a success. It was the story ex-lovers Chef Juancho (Joshua) and Zy (Julia) rekindling their lost flame and this is directed by Petersen Vargas.
Juancho was initially plotting for a revenge after she left him until her learned about her engagement. Instead of getting his revenge, he found himself falling anew with his ex-girlfriend.
On Cinema One’s “The B Side” interview, Barretto was asked about her boyfriend Gerald Anderson’s reaction about the film.
Accordingly, the actor was happy for the fans and the conversation between them about the reunion film went smoothly as he was supportive of it. The conversation was easy and he was actually the first person to know about the comeback film.
He was supportive and was even the one who encouraged her to do it. She said based on the interview, “It’s so easy with him. He was the first one to know and he was also the first person who really told me that I should do it. He’s so supportive”.
Meanwhile, based on the recent figures released, JoshLia’s reunion film ‘Un/Happy For You’ earnings reached Php 253 million as of August 24. The movie is showing in over 350 cinemas nationwide and it grew to this amount from the initial gross of Php 20.5 million. So far, it is the local film with the strongest opening gross this year.
It is also set to go international screenings this August in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Malta, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Saipan and Cambodia, among others.
