GMA contractors reacted to Niño Muhlach’s recent statement

GMA contractors Jojo Nones and Richard “Dode” Cruz debunked the claim of seasoned actor Niño Muhlach that they apologized to him over the alleged harassment they did to Sparkle artist Sandro Muhlach.

Niño has been very supportive of his son’s fight against his alleged harassers. Sandro filed a complaint against Nones and Cruz who allegedly lured him into their hotel room after the GMA Gala 2024 where the alleged abuse happened.

The Muhlachs, as well as, the accused were invited to a Senate hearing for the “Policies of Television Networks and Artist Management Agencies in Relation to Complaints of Abuse and Harassment” under the Committee on Public Information and Mass Media, headed by Senator Robin Padilla.

Niño Muhlach attended the hearing but his son was absent. A day before the hearing, the legal counsel of the GMA contractors already released a statement that they will not be attending the hearing.

In an interview that day, the seasoned actor said that he and Nones, and Cruz had a meeting and they apologized to him regarding what happened. Niño also said that he can forgive the alleged harasser of his son but he wanted them to pay for what they did.

In an interview, based on the article in PEP, Nones and Cruz’s legal counsel Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque said that there was no apology that happened.

“As regards the apology, I confer with my clients and no such apology as to admission of liability that happened in the meeting. This is a complete lie,” the lawyer said. She also said that they just field a counter-affidavit as an answer to the complaint filed by Sandro.

The lawyer said that she can’t divulge the details of the counter-affidavit but all she can say is that her clients are denying the alleged s=xual abused accused by the Sparkle artist.

Another Senate hearing will be held on Monday, August 12 and since a subpoena was filed, it is expected that the GMA contractors will attend this.
