Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe has left “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” as her character Mokang died in the series last night. In a previous article, she shared a post saying her goodbye to her beloved role.
“A big part of my 2023 was breathing life into a character I have grown to love — what a privilege it was to play Mokang,” she said in her post.
As Lovi leaves Batang Quiapo, she shared that Mokang was a fighter and this character taught her how to freely love. It was a tough decision to make but she had to turn the page and move to another chapter.
She is thankful to the Batang Quiapo team whose creativity is boundless and to her fellow actor and director Coco Martin. She is thankful to the actor for continuing her father’s legacy. With him, she knows that this legacy is in great hands.
Why did she leave, though? Is she on the family way?
Lovi left so suddenly that it left the viewers heartbroken and shocked. They were also asking if the reason for her to leave was because of something personal like being pregnant. In an interview, the actress shed light to this matter.
According to her, she left not because she is pregnant.
As she exits the show, she is looking forward to explore other opportunities. Her, leaving the show, is because of her desire to seek new and favorable circumstances.
“I have nothing but beautiful memories but I think after a year I think it’s time for me to open myself up again with sa mga bagong opportunities,” Poe said.
In being a part of this series as Mokang, she is thankful that she’s become a part of that represents her father’s name. She added, “I’m really grateful to have been part of it and sobrang nagpapasalamat ako sa friendships at mga relationships na nabuo dito.”
