Goodbye, Mokang! Lovi Poe says goodbye to her character.
Kapamilya artist Lovi Poe says goodbye to her character in the well-loved series “Batang Quiapo” – Mokang signing off.
“FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” airs every Monday to Friday, 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Cinemo, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and TFC. This well-loved movie-turned-to series in an adaptation stars Lovi Poe, the daughter of the original lead of BQ, Fernando Poe Jr.
She works alongside Coco Martin who plays as Tanggol.
Recently, viewers of the series were left guessing over the fate of Mokang in the series, her character. Is her death a real one? Is it really goodbye? Or is it just another dream twist that will keep us hanging for a time?
In latest episode, she was shot to save Tanggol. She caught the bullet that was directed at Tanggol. This was when Tanggol, Mokang, and Bubbles were fighting against Ramon and his goons. Olga took advantage of the situation and did not hesitate to pull the trigger at Tanggol.
However, Mokang saw this and on her end, there was also no hesitation in catching that bullet which ultimately ended her life.
In an Instagram post, the actress penned a heartfelt post. She expressed how “truly blessed” she is to become a part of her father’s legacy. She is grateful to the bosses and ABS-CBN for this opportunity that gave her the missing piece to her puzzle.
“A big part of my 2023 was breathing life into a character I have grown to love — what a privilege it was to play Mokang. She was a fighter and she taught me how it is to truly be free. It really was a tough decision for me to make but I have decided to turn the page.”
She thanked her Batang Quiapo family whose imagination and creativity are boundless. She know that they will continue doing great and as for her, she will miss them but she will remain cheering for them.
In a brief message for Coco, she thanked him for continuing her father’s legacy and she knew that it is in great hands.
Towards the end of her post, she wrote, “At sa mga nagmamahal kay Mokang, sobrang mahal ko din kayo. Maraming maraming salamat poe.”
