Slater Young Addresses Critical Comments Over His New Project

This is what Slater Young said regarding his new project and the “overwhelming” comments it received.

Engineer-vlogger Slater Young “The Rise at Monterrazas” project was criticized and this is his response to the comments.

Due to the environmental concerns raised by many regarding the building of “The Rise at Monterrazas”, critical comments have surfaced.

In a previous article, this new real estate project of Slater Young, a famous social media influencer and engineer, was criticized online. This is developed in one of Cebu’s most controversial development sites.

According to him, this controversial Monterrazas project would be built on the side of a mountain. He justified that this would not just be aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable.

This was inspired by the Banaue Rice Terraces and instead of working against the terrain, they decided to just follow the flow. He explained the things that made this project sustainable but many are not convinced.

Many people online aired their concerns and frustration regarding the possible impact this luxury development project may have on the environment.

According to Young, he and his team have gone through around 300 different versions of the project and this is the same explanation he expressed recently when he addressed the mounting intrigues of his new projects.

The comments were overwhelming. He expressed that this project underwent 300 revisions and the people that worked together included engineers, architects, and sustainability experts just to come up with this project in the best practices possible.

“I appreciate everyone who took time to comment. Narinig namin lahat ng mga concerns ninyo and we continue to engage even more expert groups and environmental advocates to look over our plans and the goal here is to listen,” he said.

Toward the end of the video, he promised to keep the people updated and he encouraged them to share more of their concerns and they will listen.
