Motorcycle Rider Evading Police Checkpoint Crashed in a Park Car in Malabon

Police authorities apprehended a motorcycle rider who crashed into a parked vehicle after allegedly evading a police checkpoint in Malabon.

When the 27-year-old rider attempted to flee a police checkpoint in Malabon City, he collided with a parked automobile. According to the investigation, the wrecked rider was identified as JC Val Enriquez of Santo Nio, Brgy. Concepcion.

Alfonso Hizon, 72, a former government employee, was recognized as the owner of the Suzuki Swift Hatchback. The car was damaged, according to police, when it was hit by the suspect’s motorcycle.

Rider Crashed Checkpoint Malabon

According to the police report, at roughly 12:40 a.m., Malabon Police Sub-Station-7 personnel were conducting a checkpoint in Barangay Flores when the suspect, who was operating a motorcycle without a license plate, was stopped.

Instead of halting, Enriquez accelerated his motorcycle in front of the checkpoint, prompting P/Cpl Agosto Bilalay and P/Cpl Joe Christian Field to pursue him. Enriquez collided with a parked car in his haste to flee.

When searching for the license and registration of the motorcycle he was riding, he was unable to provide any explanation for his escape. According to the report, the motorcycle was detained by the police.

Meanwhile, the police charged the suspect with disobeying a person in authority, driving an unregistered motorcycle, driving without a license, and reckless imprudence resulting in property damage at the Malabon prosecutor’s office.
