Joshua Garcia recalled his Santacruzan stint
Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia shared the story behind his Santacruzan video that went viral on social media.
Last February, photos of Joshua showing that he was an escort in a Santacruzan years ago caught the attention of many netizens. The photos were shared by Joshua’s partner in the said event.
Reina Carisse Forteza – Abrigonda shared that the photos were taken in Bauan, Batangas back in 2012.
Previously, Reina shared that initially, she did not have an escort and she was asked if it is okay for her to have one. She was surprised when her escort arrived because he was a handsome young man.
A few years later, that young man became one of the sought-after leading men of his generation. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Joshua Garcia recalled what happened at that time.
He said that he was “mahiyain” and he was just told to be an escort. “Hinila lang nila ako noon. Ayoko kasi ng mga ganoon, nahihiya ako. Pero that time, parang importanteng tao yung pamilya nila doon,” the actor shared.
He was just 12 or 13 years old at that time. “Nakikain lang ako after. Piyestahan kasi yon!” he added. With his shy personality, Joshua said that he did not expect that he will be joining the entertainment industry and that he just followed where life led him.
During the same interview, the actor shared that his initial drive in entering showbiz was to earn money. However, his perspective changed after he did the movie Barcelona.
“Yun ang time na nagseryoso na ako. Grabe na ngayon ang passion ko sa acting. Parang outlet ko na rin siya sa mga pinagdadaanan ko sa buhay,” the actor said. Many showbiz fans have noticed the depth in his acting and so he is being admired because of his caliber in portraying his characters.
