They were together for 11 years, and added that what they had was real. It was never for the fans or money. They truly loved each other, shared dreams, and were able to achieve many of those dreams together. Even though they eventually broke up, she said she has no regrets about spending half of her life with him and “would never trade it for anything in the world.”
Recalling that moment, Daniel’s mother, Karla Estrada, shared in an interview that they had handled that phase with humility and maturity. Estrada said in an interview with Melai Cantiveros on her show Kuan On Juan, “Pagpapakumbaba and pagtanggap, acceptance. That’s why I think they handled it well.”
She shared that she was the first person he told about the breakup. As a mother, she said that these things really do happen, and what matters most is having acceptance and humility. She added that it’s best to handle such matters quietly, as public noise often disrupts privacy and peace.
As a family, they also chose to keep their silence to avoid adding fuel to the fire.
“It’s also to show respect to Kathryn and her family. So we don’t talk about it. At the end of the day it’s about him and Kathryn,” Estrada said.
