Kris Bernal was asked about Aljur Abrenica
Actress Kris Bernal expressed admiration and surprise regarding the news that her former love-team partner, Aljur Abrenica, now has five children.
Kris and Aljur rose to fame as the “AlKris” love team after they won in the Kapuso talent search StarStruck in 2006. Together, they did various teleseryes and movie projects.
Eventually, their career path separated, and they had their solo projects. Aljur got married to actress Kylie Padilla, but they separated.
The actor is now in a relationship with actress AJ Raval. It was revealed late last year that they already have three children. Aljur had two sons with Kylie.
In a recent interview for the new Kapuso series House of Lies, based on the article in Abante, Kris Bernal was asked about Aljur Abrenica being a father to five kids.
“Grabe ang sipag!” Sana ako rin, ma-bless din ako ng gano’n karaming anak. Pero ano, bilib ako sa kanya. Nama-manage niya ang family life, may business pa sila. Wish ko, sana makabalik pa rin siya at sana makagawa pa ulit kami ng work together, kasi marami pa rin ang nagre-request,” the actress said.
Kris also said that she was a bit surprised upon knowing that her former onscreen partner already has five children.
Meanwhile, this new TV series served as the teleserye comeback of Kris. The last series she did was three years ago. In those years, she was focused on being a wife to her husband, Perry Choi, and a mother to their daughter.
When asked about her husband’s reaction to her kissing scenes, Kris said that Perry never asked about this, and she did not ask for permission. The actress added that her husband knows the nature of her job as an actress.
“At saka, siguro iniisip din niya na kung bibigyan pa kita ng restriction, makaapekto pa sa work mo kung babalik ka. Siyempre, gusto mong maibigay ang 100% mo,” she explained, adding that her husband does not watch her projects.
