Nadine Lustre Gets Candid About Love Life & Why She Is Done Taking Chances
NADINE LUSTRE – During a candid interview, Nadine Lustre opened up about her love life and made a surprising statement about what she would do if her current relationship ended.
Award-winning actress Nadine Lustre opened up about her career, personal growth, and love life during her guest appearance on Kapamilya broadcaster Karen Davila’s latest vlog, where they also discussed her upcoming drama series, Love, Siargao.
While talking about on-screen partnerships, Karen began asking Nadine about the possibility of falling in love with a co-star. “I’m not going to ask you if you can fall in love with your [on-screen] partner —,” Karen said before Nadine quickly interrupted with a laugh.
“Wag na! Alam mo naman yan, nangyari na yan! Wag na nating ulitin!” the actress responded, referring to her experience.
Although Nadine acknowledged that actors can develop romantic feelings for their on-screen partners, she admitted that it is no longer something she sees for herself.
“It’s not impossible naman but I’m very happy with where I’m at and eto talaga taga nyo sa bato, if Chris and I break up, ayoko ng magjowa,” she said.
The actress further revealed that if her current relationship with Christophe Bariou were to end, she would rather remain single.
“Pagod nako. But really, I told myself that. If this is not the last relationship that I will have, I’m probably going to be single for the rest of my life,” she shared.
Nadine also expressed how aligned she and Christophe are in terms of values and priorities.
“We’ll see pero kasi for now, it’s really my career, Chris, my family, the environment, and the animals.
“I think it’s hard to find someone like Chris. Same mindset, same values, and someone who’s very caring for everything that’s around him. Mahirap humanap ng taong makaka[vibe] ko with everything, na parang in-sync kami. And to me, right now, it’s very important.”
Beyond her relationship, Nadine shared that she is currently in a phase of self-discovery.
“Nadine Lustre today is someone who deeply cares about everything that’s around her. Siguro ang path ko ngayon is really finding who I really am. And I do understand naman that it changes everytime kasi hindi naman natatapos ‘yung journey natin sa isang goal na na-accomplish na natin.
“So right now, I do have a lot of projects lined up but ‘yun na ba talaga si Nadine Lustre? So hindi natin alam if in a few years, kapag na-accomplish ko na ‘yung goal na ‘yun, if it will change. Things may not be perfect or my journey may not be perfect but I’m just happy to be riding thst wave, I would say.”
