Jonvic Remulla had this fiery statement about Pulong Duterte
Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Pulong Duterte fired back at Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla because of his “sabog” remark.
The controversy arose when Remulla confirmed that he was not aware of an arrest warrant for Senator Bong Go, after news broke about the warrant for Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
The congressman released the statement that Senator Bong Go also has an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Based on the report from Daily Tribune, Remulla said, “Hindi ko nga alam, kaya baka sabog noong sinabi niya kasi siya lang ang nakakita noon eh. Sa amin wala pa naman.”
Rep. Pulong Duterte expressed his reaction to Sec. Jonvic Remulla’s remark through his Facebook post.
“Ako pa talaga ang sinabi mong ‘high’ at ‘sabog,’ Secretary Jonvic Remulla? Ako? O baka nagkamali ka lang ng tinutumbok at ang gusto mo talagang sabihin ay iyong mga nasa Malacañang?” Duterte said, apparently referring to President Bongbong Marcos.
The son of former President Rodrigo Duterte also dared the DILG Secretary to make this solution.
“Kung gusto mo talagang malaman kung sino ang ‘high’ at sino ang ‘sabog,’ simple lang naman ang solusyon. Magpa-hair follicle drug test tayo. Sama mo na ang boss mo at asawa’t anak niya. Para isang testing na lang, tapos ang usapan,” Cong. Duterte said.
Duterte shared another interpretation for the word “sabog.” “Pero baka ibang sabog din ang tinutumbok mo, Jonvic. Baka ‘yung sabog sa kapangyarihan. Sabog sa korapsyon. Sabog sa kayabangan,” he said.
The congressman also had a statement in Bisaya, which was translated to: “At sabog sa paniniwala na ang taumbayan ay hindi na marunong tumingin kung sino ang tunay na nagtatrabaho at kung sino ang nagpapa-pogi lang sa harap ng kamera.”
Cong. Pulong Duterte also reminded the DILG Secretary to look at the mirror before making a remark like “high” and “sabog.”
As of this writing, Sec. Jonvic Remulla has yet to react to the tirade from the Davao City representative.
