Tourists Shocked After Tent Was Slashed & Robbed in Siruma, Camarines Sur
A group of tourists from Naga City was shocked after their tent was slashed and robbed in Siruma, Camarines Sur.
According to one of the victims, Kean Lois, their family traveled for nearly four hours to visit the popular resort and celebrate a special occasion together. The group decided to stay overnight and camp at the resort to enjoy the beach and peaceful surroundings.
However, their trip suddenly became traumatic in the early hours of the morning. At around 2:38 a.m., the family woke up in shock after discovering that their tent had been slashed with a blade while they were sleeping inside.
The victims immediately checked their belongings and later found out that several items were missing from the tent.
Among the stolen items were a hammock and an iPhone owned by the victim’s sibling. Aside from the lost belongings, the family became even more alarmed after seeing the cap of the blade allegedly used by the suspect left beside their personal clothes inside the tent.
The incident caused fear and anxiety among the group, especially since the suspect managed to enter their campsite while everyone was asleep.
The victims also expressed disappointment over what they described as the lack of immediate action and security from the resort management. According to Lois, they were only advised to file a police blotter, and the resort allegedly would not prepare an official incident report unless the guests specifically requested one.
The family is now coordinating with local authorities to formally report the incident and pursue legal action. They also reminded fellow travelers and campers to be extra careful with their belongings while staying in resorts or campsites.
The victims hope the incident will encourage resort owners to strengthen security measures to better protect their guests and prevent similar situations from happening again.
