Dani, Julia Barretto, Claudia, Leon, and Erich are the five children of Marjorie Barretto, whom she raised as a single mother. To many, Marjorie is often seen as a great mother one could ever have. She raised her children well and close to each other, which many people admire.
During her recent guest appearance on The Bare It All Podcast, the celebrity mom admitted that the transition has been easier because of how supportive and understanding her children have been.
While she is grateful to have raised them on her own, she admitted that there were also days when she felt exhausted. She admitted, “Most of the time, let’s say 80 percent of the time, I’m glad I raised you guys alone kasi kung hindi naman, yung partner ko, ay magaling na partner in raising children or in the decision making, hindi balanced, that would be so hard.”
She shared that making decisions on her own became easier over time, especially because she believed her children’s personalities would have been very different had their father been present in their lives. According to her, having another parent involved might not have made the decision-making process any easier.
The celebrity mother also praised her children for looking after one another and stepping into parental roles when needed.
“I’m glad na dala dala ninyo yung closeness niyo up to now. It’s not just about being close, it’s really being there for one another. I can’t say I’m a single mom because I have you guys to really count on,” she shared.
