Gerald Anderson shared a glimpse of his new TV series
Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson talked about his Muslim character in the upcoming action series Blood vs Duty.
In this series, Gerald is joined by Richard Gutierrez, Barbie Imperial, and Bela Padilla. This is directed by FM Reyes, Bjoy Balagtas, and Rico Navarro, with action direction by Erwin Tagle. The new series is produced by JRB Creative Production of ABS-CBN, led by Julie Anne R. Benitez and with creative head Dindo Perez.
The promotion for this new series have already started, and in a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Gerald talked about his character.
Gerald Anderson said that the viewers can expect that they will see different kinds of action drama, which for him, has leveled up when it comes to action scenes, storytelling, acting.
“Yung trabaho ng lahat ng tao leveled up, so yun po yung inaabangan ko na mapanood sana ng mga tao,” the actor shared.
In the series, Gerald plays the character of Jalil Abubakar, a Muslim who has a remarkable love for his family and community. On the other hand, his quiet and peaceful life suddenly changed when a tragic incident happened and he would do his best to achieve justice.
The actor also shared that the production team made sure that the scenes would turn out to be realistic, especially those featuring his character.
“Unang-una, may mga naging consultant kami. Sa personal time ko, may mga iba pa akong natanong na Maharlika dito sa Philippines, dito sa Taguig,” he shared.
He met with them to get more information. Gerald also shared that he has known the traditon and culture of Muslims for many years now.
“Bata pa lang ako, exposed na ako sa kultura ng Muslim, and I’ve always been fascinated sa Islam,” he shared. Gerald also said that viewers would definitely on the edge of their seats every episode, as the scenes would be unexpected, and every character would get their interest. “This is an ensemble cast, kanya-kayang napakagandang kwento,” he added.
