John Estrada looked back on his stint in ‘Batang Quiapo’
Seasoned actor John Estrada shared his message for the one and only Teleserye King Coco Martin.
Although John’s experience playing Rigor Dimagiba in the hit action-drama “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” was very difficult and super challenging, he is very grateful to have been a part of the program.
According to John, being a part of “Batang Quiapo” and being directed by Coco is one for the books for his career as an actor. Previously, he shared that the audience’s reaction to his villain character, John, led him to think he did well portraying Rigor.
In a recent statement, based on the article in Bandera, John Estrada said that he will treasure not only the wonderful experiences he had in portraying the role of Rigor Dimagiba at the end of the series, but also the family he formed throughout the production.
The actor said that one of the things he will never forget while filming the series was their taping at a location in Navotas. It was an unpleasant area, but he saw how Coco lead them in order to pull it off.
He also recalled the thrilling and action-packed scenes and explosive confrontation scenes between Christopher de Leon as Ramon Montenegro and Coco Martin as Tanggol.
John’s respect and admiration for Coco grew even more because, apart from his talent as an actor and director, he has also seen the creative side of the Kapamilya primetime king.
“Si Coco, kapag nag-iisip siya ng eksena, alam niya kung saan nanggagaling at kung saan patutunguhan,” he shared.
He further described the series’s entire production. John said that he cannot be prouder because they are extraordinary people, and so talented, from the directors to the entire production team. The seasoned actor added that he really experienced that they were solid, and everyone was playing the same tone.
Then, he shared his message for their lead actor and director. “Co, alam mo kung gaano ka kamahal ni John. From the bottom of my heart, gusto kong magpasalamat sa tiwalang binigay mo sa akin,” John Estrada said.
