Vice Pres Sara Duterte Reacts To Photo of Son Stingray Circulating on Social Media
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President reacted to the unauthorized use of the photo of her minor son, Stingray, in a post related to politics.
Although it is still a few years ahead of the next elections, Vice Pres. Duterte has already previously confirmed that she will run for the presidency in 2028. According to her, she realized that her life is not for hers to live alone.
The Vice President previously claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has given her his blessings to run for the presidency. According to her, the former President who is currently detained under the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands is even excited to campaign for her.
The Duterte siblings are taking turns in visiting their father inside the ICC detention facility in The Hague since March 2025. They slammed the Marcos Jr. administration over the transfer of the custody of the former President to the foreign court.
Following the announcement of the Vice President, the youngest among the Duterte siblings, Kitty Duterte, said that the Duterte family is proud of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and supports her presidential bid in 2028. However, Kitty also admitted that they initially got fears for her sister.
“VP Sara just announced that she’s running for president this 2028. We talked about that but there’s also this fear inkling for her, of course, she has children who are bata pa,” the younger Duterte said.
Meanwhile, although they initially had fears for the safety of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, Kitty Duterte assured their confidence that she can handle it. The youngest among the Duterte siblings even stressed that the Vice President is braver than their father.
“Well alam namin kaya niya. Mas matapang pa ‘yan sa tatay namin,” Kitty expressed.
However, recently, a photo of the minor son of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, Stingray, is circulating on social media for the spread of “false information”. Based on the post of the Vice President, the photo comes with a caption that asks the public to take care of her mother, the Vice President.
Through a post on her social media page, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte expressed condemnation on the unauthorized use of the photo of her minor son to spread false information. According to the Vice President, she has never used her children for her own interest and she strongly stops them from engaging in political talks.
Duterte called on the public to not allow children to be used in the spread of fake news amid the dirty games of politics now. Based on the post, the Vice President stressed that the protection of the youth, even if it is her kid or not, is a responsibility of everyone.
Amid the detention of the former President, Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte claimed that their family, even former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, is prepared for any eventuality of the case against him before the ICC.
