Young Man Loses His Life After Stabbing Incident in Quezon Due to Misunderstanding
A young man lost his life following a stabbing incident in Candelaria, Quezon that reportedly started from a simple misunderstanding.
According to the Candelaria Police, the victim was a resident of Barangay Mangilag Sur. He passed away at a hospital early Monday morning (March 9, 2026) after suffering a stab wound to the chest.
Initial investigation revealed that the incident began on Sunday afternoon (March 8). The victim was washing his motorcycle with a friend at a small carwash located along the roadside. While they were cleaning the motorcycle, water accidentally splashed onto an older man who was passing by the area.
The situation quickly led to a heated argument between the victim and the older man. Witnesses said the disagreement grew tense, but the older man eventually left the place after the exchange.
However, the situation did not end there. After a few moments, the older man’s son reportedly arrived at the scene. Authorities said the young man immediately approached the victim and confronted him about the earlier incident involving his father.
The suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest during the confrontation. People nearby were shocked by how quickly the situation escalated.
The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital in the hope that he could still be saved. Sadly, he did not survive the injury and was later declared dead.
After the stabbing, the suspect fled from the scene and has not yet been captured. Police authorities have already launched a manhunt operation to locate and arrest him.
The suspect is expected to face a homicide case once he is caught.Â
Meanwhile, the victim’s family is grieving the sudden loss of their loved one. They are now calling for justice, hoping that the person responsible for the crime will be found and held accountable.
