Matty Juniosa Gets 2nd Golden Buzzer Win, Shares Thoughts About Victory

Filipino singer Matty Juniosa recently reacted to the second Golden Buzzer.

Matty Juniosa has secured another Golden Buzzer from the judges of “Britain’s Got Talent,” heading him straight to the finals.

Previously, another Pinoy talent had brought pride to the country. Filipino singer Matty Juniosa joined “Britain’s Got Talent” and received the golden buzzer from Simon Cowell. Matty’s golden buzzer moment has become known worldwide, impressing the judges, the audience, and online viewers.

In his audition, he performed a rendition of Prince’s iconic song “Purple Rain.”

Recently, Matty received his second golden buzzer in the competition’s semi-finals round, sending him straight to the finals of the talent competition series’ 19th season. He delivered a rendition of Aerosmith’s “Dream On,” earning a standing ovation from all four judges: Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KS.

Speaking about his golden buzzer moment, Matty expressed how grateful he is for his second golden buzzer. He expressed, “Amanda, thank you so much for giving me my second Golden Buzzer. Simon’s first one, I’m so grateful enough for that. But a second one? I just got a Golden Buzzer!”

Matty is an Idol Philippines alum. In 2022, he relocated to the United Kingdom to pursue his studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Matty has been based in Glasgow for the past three years, where he juggles part-time work as a waiter while continuing to nurture his passion for music. In 2025, he marked his debut as a professional theater actor, taking on the role of Sonja in Oscar At The Crown. The year before, he appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, portraying Lola in Kinky Boots and Clopin in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Most recently, in January, he stepped into the role of Muzha in the musical production Ne Zha.
