Pokwang Fires Back at Alvin Aragon Over Controversial Remarks
POKWANG – Kapuso actress Pokwang did not hesitate to speak up after former actor Alvin Aragon’s controversial remarks about mothers inside their homes began circulating online.
Pokwang could no longer hold back and reacted strongly to the statements made by former actor Alvin Aragon. On her Instagram page, she shared a video showing a quote card in the background containing what the former actor allegedly said about mothers who do not wear bras inside their homes.
“Guys, makinig kayo. Sabi ni saint este brother Alvin, ‘Mga nanay na walang bra sa loob ng bahay, ayusin mo ‘yung damit mo, magsuot ka ng bra dahil sayo magkakasala ang mga anak mo. Sabi ni Lord, kung dahil sayo magkakasala ang mga anak mo, mabuti pang magpakamatay ka na lang!’. Grabe naman sa magpakamatay,” Pokwang began.
Pokwang went on to express that she found the former actor’s remarks malicious. “Unang-una, wala akong bra-brahan. Pangalawa, masyado namang malisyoso ‘yung ano na kita lang ‘yung ano papatulan mo na agad ang nanay mo, ‘wag ganun!” she added.
Pokwang also shared a personal story from her childhood to emphasize her point. According to her, she once saw her father’s “itlog” while they were eating on the floor because they did not have a table at the time.
“Ako nga nakita ko itlog ng tatay ko nu’ng kumakain kami sa sahig kasi wala kami lamesa e. Natuka nga ng bebe ‘yung itlog niya e. May alaga akong bebe sa silong namin natuka ‘yung itlog niya e. Nag-isip ba ako ng ano?” she said.
She further explained that during those difficult times, her father prioritized buying rice for the family over purchasing personal necessities.
“Grabe naman. Kasi wala siyang pambili ng brief. Syempre uunahin namin ‘yung bigas bago ang brief,” Pokwang concluded.
Her statements quickly drew attention online, with many netizens weighing in on the debate about modesty, family values, and personal responsibility within the home.
