Sylvia Sanchez Speaks Up After Alleged Wedding Reception Confrontation
SYLVIA SANCHEZ – Award-winning actress and producer Sylvia Sanchez has finally addressed the rumored tension between Robi Domingo and John Lloyd Cruz following the alleged confrontation at a high-profile wedding reception.
Sylvia Sanchez has chosen to stay out of the reported issue between Robi Domingo and John Lloyd Cruz. The alleged confrontation is said to have occurred during the wedding reception of Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo in December 2025.
Reports claimed that tension rose between Robi and John Lloyd after the latter allegedly did not appreciate a joke Robi told in front of the guests.
Robi Domingo served as the host of the celebrity couple’s wedding reception, and rumors even surfaced that the situation almost escalated into a fistfight. Because of this, members of the media asked Sylvia about the issue during the recent contract signing of new talents under Nathan Studios Artists Management.
However, the seasoned actress immediately avoided the topic and repeatedly said, “Hanggang diyan na lang kayo.”
When asked whether she is still okay with both John Lloyd and Robi after what allegedly happened, Sylvia responded warmly.
“I love Lloydie, oo! I love him so much. Oo. Hanggang du’n na lang. Anak ko si Lloydie at hindi mawawala yun.
“Mahal ko rin si Robi. Kung ano man yun, hanggang diyan lang kayo,” the actress-producer said with a laugh.
Despite the controversy, Sylvia continues to balance her responsibilities as a producer, wife, mother, and grandmother to her only grandchild, the firstborn of Ria and Zanjoe.
“Time management pa rin, e. Marunong pa rin akong mag-manage sa ganu’n,” said Sylvia.
Sylvia Sanchez also made it clear that she does not interfere in how Ria and Zanjoe are raising their child.
“Ngayon, sina Ria, meron silang sariling buhay, sila ni Z. Hindi ko puwedeng kunin yung anak nila maya-maya. Kasi nasa kanila yun, e.
“Kapag nasa amin lang, halimbawa nahiram namin o pupuntahan namin, yun lang yun pag weekend.
“Ayokong pakialaman yung pagpapalaki nila sa anak nila. Ayokong pasukin na ako ang masusunod, hindi!
“Sila ang nanay at tatay, sila ang mag-alaga. Alam mo yun? So ang sa akin, pag may time, Sunday lang, makikita ko. Yun lang.
“Respeto ko yun sa mag-asawa. Hindi ko puwedeng pangunahan ang mag-asawa dahil anak nila yun,” said Sanchez.
For Sylvia, respect and love remain at the center of both family and friendship, even amid rumors and controversies.
